The online services of the Cadastre Agency are 30% cheaper
The electronic services of the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency (GCCA) are 30% cheaper than the paper documents, as reported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
Some of the most frequently sought-after services – issuing a sketch of a property or a schematic of a standalone real estate on paper, costs BGN 20, while those requested and received electronically – BGN 14. The electronic services provided by GCCA are the same as those, which the citizens and businesses can receive at the counter.
The quickest and most comfortable method for applying for services and receiving them is electronically, via the Cadastral administrative information system of the cadastre - https://kais.cadastre.bg/. The preparation of the documents, requested at the counter or electronically, takes the same time, depending on the deadline of the service – ordinary (7 days) or fast (3 days).
The Ministry warns that some services require the applicant to be identified by electronic signature. If the citizens do not have one, they can obtain the document requested by them in an office where they will have to show the necessary documents - for property ownership or other ones, necessary for the respective service.
The property sketches apply indefinitely. Geodesy engineers can also issue a sketch of a property or a schematic for a standalone real estate. A prerequisite for them is to have a master's degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of cadastre. Until now, in addition to surveying, mapping and cadastre agencies, these have also been provided by municipalities, agricultural agencies and notaries.
