Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber opens the doors of Holde Textile Expo in Bucharest for Bulgarian companies from the tailoring sector
A delegation from the Romanian-Chinese company Holde International SRL and the Federation of Employers in the Textile and Leather Industry in Romania met with business representatives in Ruse. The initiative belonged to Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber, and the occasion - the upcoming trade exhibition HOLDE TEXTIL 2019, which will take place between May 31st and June 2nd at the central pavilion of RomExpo in Bucharest. The forum is organized for the first time and it will be the meeting ground for tailoring companies and producers of materials for this industry – fabrics, accessories, decorations and packages.
The upcoming exhibition HOLDE TEXTIL is the first phase of a large-scale project with financing from the Chinese government under initiative „16+1“. The second phase is the upcoming construction of a permanent showroom in the Ilfov region in Romania with samples for the tailoring industry, and the third phase is the creation of a hub in Free Zone – Giurgiu, where quantities of materials, needed by the companies in Romania and Bulgaria, will be stored. The ultimate goal of the large-scale project is to optimize the supply chain of materials and improve the predictability of the production process.
According to Mihai Pasculescu, president of the Federation of Employers in the Textile and Leather Industry, around 9 000 companies in Romania sew clothing for the world's largest brands, with exports of this sector being over 6 billion euro. He shared that 90% of the raw materials for the production of clothes are imported and companies spend a great deal of time and money in choosing and shipping the appropriate fabrics, accessories and decorations from China. This is the reason why companies from this sector in Romania are uniting and creating a place, which would gather the necessary production materials.
The director of Ruse Free Zone EAD, Dimitar Nedyalkov, invited the delegation to become acquainted with the competitive conditions for the construction of the material warehouse on the territory of Bulgaria. It became clear in the conversation, which was attended by representatives of the textile industry from Ruse, that local producers also face the same difficulties and would benefit from the offer, made by Holde International SRL.
At the upcoming exhibition, Bulgarian companies will have the opportunity to present samples of their production within a specially created section for the country. Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber will cooperate by connecting you with the organizers. The visit for the companies is free, all that is needed is a registration in advance.
