New Border Point Dobromir - Krushari
In December 2018 in Dobromir, Constanta County, in the presence of representatives of the border police from Romania and Bulgaria, the Coast Guard and the Regional Directorate for Border Police Rousse, representatives of the local authorities in Romania and Bulgaria, as well as the officers of the Regional Office for Cross-Border Cooperation in Calarasi on the Romania-Bulgaria border, the border crossing point Dobromir (Romania) - Krushari (Bulgaria) was officially opened.
The new border crossing point, which adds up to 10 border crossings opened for international trafficking of people and goods at the Romanian-Bulgarian border, was implemented within the framework of the project "Dobromir - Krushari cross-border road", code MIS ETC: 588 and was financed under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2007-2013. The operation of this border crossing in international mode is a favorable measure for easier access to the transport infrastructure in the border area as well as for the facilitation of the movement of people and goods.
The border crossing operates under the Coast Guard and is open for road traffic up to a total weight of 3.5 tonnes, with working hours from 08:00 to 20:00. Transportation of dangerous materials, live animals and products subject to phytosanitary control is prohibited at this border post.
On 3 October 2017, the Lipnitsa-Kaynardzha border crossing, implemented under the Lipnitsa-Kaynardzha cross-border road project, code MIS ETC: 579, also financed under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-border Cooperation Program 2007-2013, Dobromir-Krushari, and operates under the auspices of the Coast Guard and is open to international passenger and freight transport for vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tonnes with a working time of 08:00 to 20:00.
